I guess I'm surprised by the amount of detail introduced to this world.

I must say I'm kind of sad for those who're writers.

Or artists.

Ummm, to me, this seems like a concept of what Utopia could be - based only on a 2023 ‘reading’ of the future. The bits around AI role in different spheres of life, the description around education - that’s virtually lifted out of the NZ current education curriculum! I don’t necessarily see anything too innovative or futuristic in the GPT4 Utopia. It would also have been interesting to find out how Utopia was funded - of course, this is a Q is firmly rooted in my 2023 concerns & the geopolitical environment … inflation, national debt, rising economies & superpowers etc. What are the languages spoken? What are the demographics of those who live in Utopia? Are there borders, or are we one ‘free mobility’ global earth?

Cool tour. The facility GPT-4 has with any language based task should be obvious, but I continue to find new use cases fascinating. It really is a general purpose technology. I know that's not the real acronym, but I wonder if OpenAI had it in mind as the secret version.

One thing that struck me is that the utopian cityscapes also resemble many of the visions of post-apocalyptic landscapes. Apparently we end up with a lot more plants either way.

Those who believe this is what the world will look like in a 100 years are completely disconnected from reality.
