Duckduckgo is the real alternative to google. You can compare bing and google, they have huge economic resources available, but duckduckgo doesn't. So, you should compare differently.
I have used ddg since more than 3 or 4 years almost exclusively. Bing 5% of the year and google maybe 20 or 30 times a year.
Duckduckgo results are comparable to google. No ads at the beginning (they should pay bills somehow), better results in general.
I recently discovered kagi and I plan to pay for the basic plan.
Google sells all your data they can and pollutes your experience in everyway possible whenever you use their products because people doesn't like to pay.
We are also developing a next-generation search engine. It is the only project in the world that does not start with technology, such as how intuitively a genius designer can change the search engine by his sensibility. That's also from Osaka, Japan.
Ok, went to check the "next generation of search engines".
Kagi - no search available on the main page. Bu you can "Sign up/Login", uhmm... thank you, I'll think about this.
Neeva - no search either, bu "Neeva has joined Snowflake.". Well, congrats.
Looking forward to the next next generation of search engines. Will use Google in the meantime.
